Looks great in the photo's, not quite as stunning in the hand. It has been a long time since I have purchased a Boker product so to see the small imperfections that don't really turn up on many modern production knives these days present on this knife was a little disappointing. The tang size is a little concerning as well as it appears to be slightly less than one third of the blade width which does not inspire confidence in the knife's ability to handle a lot of rough use. It says that it is 440A but to my eyes looks a little blue grey like something else, I'm thinking cheap kitchen knife steel but I am sure that I am wrong. 440A can be a perfectly serviceable steel so I am not greatly concerned given that this is a sticking knife so for this purpose it is fit as long as that tang holds out. The leather sheath is nice enough so overall this knife is passable...
